Tuesday Randomness

If the college football season ended today Ohio State would be playing South Florida?? for the national championship. As much as I love OSU and want to see them run the table and play for another national title part of me wants to see the biggest pile up of deserving one and two loss teams so the BCS may be one step closer to implosion. I guess this would also work with one undefeated (OSU of course) and multiple one and two loss teams piled up behind.

The Colorado Rockies may be the scariest baseball team ever. What kind of team wins 14 out of 15 games to close out the season and then 7 straight in the playoffs to make the World Series. The Rockies now get to sit around and watch the Indians and Red Sox beat the snot out of each other for a week before starting the World Series next Wednesday. Hopefully for the Rockies sake sitting around for 9 days will not take their momentum away.

Speaking of awful baseball scheduling. If the Indians were to some how win the next two games (tonight and Thursday) baseball would take almost a week break before playing the World Series. Why not move the games up and get games 1 and 2 on Saturday and Sunday? Have a plan for a fluid schedule. Yes this would hurt the Indians by not letting them have their rotation set up, but it would be a reward for the Rockies for dispatching the D-Backs so quickly. If your argument for not doing this is travel concerns, stadium setup, and what not, I would point out the Rockies had no problem getting ready on one days notice to host the one game playoff with the Padres and the end of the regular season.

Going into the bye week the Browns are 3-3, anyone who says they are disappointed by this is a liar.
