This new Brewing conglomerate will sport the unimaginative name of MillerCoors. Seriously that is the best they can come up with? I figure it went something like this:
Coors Exec : We are going to need a new name.
Miller Exec : But we don't want to alienate our current customers.
Coors Exec : Well lets just smash the names together and put a hyphen in between, we shall call it Coors-Miller.
Miller Exec: We can't have a hyphen, Anheuser-Busch already dominates the hyphenated beer market, and I really don't see why Coors should get it's name first.
Coors Exec: Come on now having Coors first is the alphabetical way to do it.
Miller Exec: This is a load of crap, if Miller is not first we are going to walk.
Coors Exec: Fine, we will select the order of our new ventures name the same way the
Cleveland Browns selected their preseason starting quarterback.
Miller Exec: How did they do it?
Coors Exec: Well of course they flipped a coin.
Miller Exec: I love it. Simple and fair and it totally worked for the Browns. OK heads Miller first, tails Coors first.
Coors Exec: Works for me.
(Coin flip)
Coors Exec: Son of a ....
I am always a fan of a company that produces two products that directly compete with each other, it is obvious why I am not a business major because this crap makes no sense to me.
