I have long dreamed of having a fiber optic football field, just blend the fibers into the synthetic turf. Now never did I ever imagine that this was an idea I held all to myself, I have just never heard anyone else talk about it nor have I ever read anything about it. Apparently I have never read anything about it cause I have never looked. Forbes.com wrote up a little article in 2006 about this very idea.

Normally I am not a fan of advertising (because commercials interupt the game), but the opportunities of this idea are just too cool to ignore.
